Online New Student Outreach Marketing Campaign, Fall 2020
How do you reach students on campus when campus is closed?
When COVID hit, everything had to pivot. As campuses closed down, InterVarsity student groups had to get creative to cultivate community in an all-virtual context.
The Communications Team supported these groups by launching a nationwide online marketing campaign, aimed at helping new students, mainly through Instagram ads, get connected to a local chapter. Over the course of 12 weeks, our ads, events, and giveaways reached thousands of students.

Some of the ads directed students to join an online event called “Start Here” - aimed at helping new college students prepare for their first year of school in a virtual setting.

We also used a theme verse for many of our pieces, including a sticker giveaway, which had the highest conversion rate, with over 1,000 people clicking to sign up to be contacted in exchange for a free sticker.
